Contact formulation in Ansys Workbench

      Hello everybody

I am doing a pure bending test with the contact formulation (Pure Penalty) with FKN = 0.1 and coefficient of friction 0.1 but I get a strange behavior so I want to try whether the factor FKT affects my simulation.

According to the ansys manual, The program automatically defines a default tangential contact stiffness that is proportional to MU and the normal stiffness FKN.

how can i find the equation for FKT.

and how can I change the factor FKT (value entered)

      greetings

You need to insert command snippets for changing the Tangential Stiffness. Check this out https://mechanicsandmachines.com/?p=258. The equation of KT is given in section 3.9.3.3 of the MAPDL Contact Technology Guide - https://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v194/ans_ctec/Hlp_ctec_realkey.html.

      thanks for these comments.
this equation KT for contact stiffness in the case of Lagrange but what I need the relation between FKT and (FKN, MU) in the case of Pure Penalty. In Ansys Manual "The program automatically defines a default tangential contact stiffness FKT that is proportional to MU and the normal stiffness FKN."
      Regards
