SubscriberTrying to achieve the correct method of applying boundary conditions/restraints/fixed support for a dual sleeve compound cylinder. Have just fixed it at one end but am not sure if its realistic.
Also the setup of the contact for the interference. I am not sure if its set up correctly because my hand calculation for the interference pressure does not match.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

SubscriberNot sure what this is exactly, but if it is an interference fit type of model then I would do the following.
Â
Make the inner cyl. larger as needed.
Split the geometry so you get one 1/4 model (symmetry).
Apply symmetry restraints (then no need to fix anything) and solve (do not include offset in the contact).
