SubscriberI've been running simulations in LS-DYNA with buckling fibers, but I have run into an issue where the buckled fiber passes through itself.
In the picture on the right, the structure seems to be passing through itself. I am wondering which settings I can use to reduce/eliminate this issue. Below are the keywords I have for contact:

Ansys EmployeeHello,Â
The structure self-contact should be handled by *CONTACT_AUTOMATIC_SINGLE_SURFACE. Please see if the structure part is included in that contact. Please try using this option in *CONTACT_AUTOMATIC_SINGLE_SURFACE card SOFT = 2, SBOPT =3 and DEPTH = 5.Â

Let us know how it goes,Â

SubscriberThe structure part is included in that contact, as is everything else in the model. I also have those settings for CONTACT_AUTOMATIC_SINGLE_SURFACE already set, so those don't seem to be the issue. I'm thinking maybe I should run the simulation with a lower impactor velocity?
