SubscriberI'm performing Fluid cooling simulation for elecronic part. I m using Classic Icepak tool. I would like your guidance on a few technical points regarding my simulation setup:
1. Defining two fluids:
Air inside the cabinet
Water in the cooling channel of the design
Could you please guide me on how to define and simulate these two different fluids in Icepak?
2. Cabinet domain exclusion:
How can I deactivate or exclude the cabinet air region from the simulation if it is not required?
3. CAD import:
Is it possible to directly import a .stp file into Classic Icepak? If yes, what is the correct workflow?
4. Boundary condition:
How do I correctly define a pressure outlet at 0 Pa in Classic Icepak?

Ansys EmployeeHi
Here are my responses,
1- For Air inside cabinet, you can use the default fluid as air. For the water channel, you will need a seperate fluid block and you can assign the material for it.2- Double click the Cabinet in the tree and change the geometry to None (Under the Shape Dropdown)
3- To import a Step file, you will need to go via spaceclaim or discovery . You cannot directly import step files in Classic Icepak.4- You can set the Gauge pressure to 0.
