I am a master student that is studying the stator-rotor interaction in an hp turbine stage (22 stat X 25 rot blades).
I already set up the phase lag time integration unsteady solution and now I'd like to see the Harmonic Balance in term of performance and computational time.
I read the Help of CFX but it tells only how to set up the blade flutter case.
Does anyone have any suggestion on how to set up the Harmonic Balance method for un unsteady stage simulation?
P.S. I just want to simulate the fluid mechanics, I have no interest in mechanical response of the blades.

I have actually a very similar investigation and would like to learn more about the Harmonic Balance transient method as well.
Are there any new tutorials since there are new (Harmonic Balance) calculation methods available for CFX Version R.18 or later ?
I am considering an axial 1.5 stage compressor and would like to know if Harmonic Balance is capable to do a transient computation across two interfaces (IGV to Rotor and Rotor to Stator)
