SubscriberI'm running a non-linear wave propagation problem in ANSYS CFX where the initial velocity and void fraction waves turn into a shock as the wave propagates. However as I refine the grid, I get overshoots near the sharp edges of the shock while using the High Resolution advection scheme. I was wondering if there was anyway I could use gradient limiter functions like MINMOD, MUSCL, SMART, etc. in CFX to address this problem, or if there is something else that can resolve the overshoots. Thank you for your help! @Ansys Innovation Space Help #CFX #numericalmethod #fluxlimiter

Ansys EmployeeHi Raghav,
You can try changing it to upwind or Specified blend factor option and see if it helps with over/undershoot.
