Hi everyone,Â
i'm trying to simulate the flow of the fresh concrete (SCC) inside a cast.
I'm considering also inside the analysis two phases with VOF (air and fresh concrete).
For the fresh concrete properties I'm using the Herschel-Bulkley law in order to consider it as a Non-Newtonian fluid.
What kind of viscous model could i use to model it?With laminar model i'm having problems with the analysis (aborted for divergence) with the following error inside the console:
Error: floating point exception
Error Object: #fFor meshing the geometry I'm using tetrahedral or hexa FE (with a good quality), but i don't know if the problem could be linked to the analysis method or for something else.
Could someone kindly help me?
Thank you so muchÂ

You can use any viscous model that describes the concrete, HB may be the best option.Â
Divergence may be mesh related, and you need to check the resolution too: cell quality just checks the individual elements. Best way to check is display the mesh on a cut plane and look at it. From there, check model and boundary settings paying careful attention to the time step.Â
