Hi,
I am having an issue with Ansys Workbench/Mechanical that is preventing me from doing any course work. I created a project in Ansys Workbench and tried running a FEM simulation in Static Structural module. In the middle of simulation, I get the error in attached image and simulation stops.
I suspect the issue is with the way Ansys saves files and the available storage space. While I may be wrong, it seems like Ansys is not overwriting old files after running a simulation, but instead stores all files, meaning after I run simulation several times my disk space reaches full capacity. I tried cleaning the temporary files, but it does not help. It seems like Ansys is saving a bunch of stuff in unclear location and then does not delete old files (maybe saves too many backup versions?).
Also, when closing the project I get a pop-up saying :The database failed to save while closing the Mechanical application. There is not enough space on the disk".Â

Hello
You have run out of space on the disk.Â
The Workbench does make a backup copy of the orginal files in .backup folder. This is done so you can revert project edits (like Exit without saving.)
It seems disk space became so low that Workbench was not able to perfom file copy/move operations.
