Can you save a SpaceClaim .scdoc to an older version?

      Hello,

I am using the 2021 R1 version and would like to save it as an older version, maybe 2019 or 2020.

      Does SpaceClaim allow for this?

I looked through the options, but couldn't find anything related to this issue, but not sure if I missed anything.

I know in some other programs, you're allowed to do this.

      Thanks,

      Jon

There is no Save As to an older .scdoc version.
If you have a paid license for the 2021 R1 version, you can Save As a neutral file such as Parasolid or STEP. When saving as Parasolid, you get to choose the version of Parasolid you want to save as. That means you need to know the version of Parasolid that ANSYS 2019 was using and use that or an earlier version.
If you have the free Student license for 2021 R1, you can't Save As a neutral file at all so you can't go backwards.

      Thank you for your response.
I tried saving my 2021 model to a step file then open it up in an earlier version, but kept on getting error messages.
I'm able to open step files created in other CAD programs as well as those created in 2021 SpaceClaim, but for some reason I just can't go backwards in SpaceClaim.

I have a paid academic license for Ansys 2021 R2, however unlike previous versions of space claim I canÔÇÖt save as an IGES or Step neutral file. I can only save as a .Scdoc. Is there any way I can export my geometry from space claim to a neutral format?

Did this computer every have the free ANSYS Student installed on it before?
If so, was that old software removed? The free version does not let you save in any format other than .scdoc.
Where did the installer for ANSYS 2021 R2 come from?

      Hi
I reinstalled the program and was able to find the save as drop down menu. Thanks
