Dear friend,

I have used ANSYS - Student version (CFX) for the simulations of my thesis and now I want to publish a paper. I want to know if I am allowed to use those results in my publications, mentioning that I have used the free licensed student version, or not?

Actually, my advisor and I have downloaded the student version of the software and I did the simulations.

which says it is ok to use the ANSYS student version for the publications. But since it is for 2 years ago I asked this question again. How much does it take for @pgl to answer this question?

Generally a couple of mugs of coffee and a reminder. I've already done the latter, no idea about the former.

In short yes, you may go ahead & publish. Please reference these guidelines as it would be super if you can mention ANSYS and the product in your work. 

Ideally we would prefer that you had used the ANSYS Academic Research product license, as that has broader terms of use, and provides you with more numerical headroom. However, since this is all past tense we have no issue with you proceeding, as we are all rooting for you to get the paper published to favorable reviews.
