ellipticity .Like if we are interested to generate Circularly polarized light we take two separte planar sources and edit them with the following parameters. Can you plz let me know if i want to generate LEP(Left elliptical polarized light) with ellipticity =0.5 then what settings we have to do?

Elliptically polarized light is composed of two linearly orthogonally polarized sources with different amplitude and phase difference. You can set up two orthogonal linear polarized sources with desired amplitude and phase from the ellipticity. When the phase is 90deg, it is the amplitude ratio that determines the ellipticity. Please check the definition of ellipticity definition and choose proper amplitudes.

      Dear Sir

can u plz let me know that if i want to fall planar light waves x polarized at an angle of incidence 20 degree then in the above snapshot i will make amplitude=1 rest settings would be set to zero but polarization angle =20 degree .Is it like so? plz respond

Yes you can. However the incidence angle theta does not related to polarization. Phi may affect the polarization. Polarizaiton angle for a linear polarization will rotate the polarization from x-axis.

Thank u sir.Plz confirm to change incidence angle of incoming light wave we will just make changes in angle theta? As i wanto to fall planar light (linearly polarized light)

      Settings would be like:

      Amplitude:1

      phase(degree)=0

      Injection axis=z-axis

      direction:forward

      angle(theta) degrees=20

      angle phi(degree)=0

It is correct for an incident angle of 20deg.
