Hi, I'm currently facing problems concerning the creation of a C-grid for an airfoil simulation in ansys meshing. The problem is that when i try to create a mesh for a y+=1, max aspect ratio reaches 100000, which I know can cause divergence issues. The only wayaspect ratio changes is via bias factor. Any solutions?

Is it 2d or 3d?

It's 2D.

Can you please post some images here.
You will need to split 2d face in SpaceClaim. Also you will need to use edge biasing in meshing.

Hi again and thank you for your interest. I found a solution by creating an unstructured grid. I have some problems some time now though, I don’t know if you can help with that. I’m trying some time now to simulate flow over a 2D NACA0012 airfoil at Ma=0.85 and 2 degrees angle of attack and although residuals converge and all variables obtain accurate values, Cl refuses to converge or if it does (though not completely), it obtains completely inaccurate values. I have seen that the problem is that the location of the shock wave termination is wrong. Do you believe it is a mesh problem? I have tried different solvers and meshes but nothing works so far.

This could be mesh or solver issue.
For airfoil it will be good to get structured mesh instead of unstructured. If it is unstructured then please grow 20-30 inflation layers. Thay may help.
Also please check quality of mesh before proceeding to solver.
