SubscriberI am trying to use a graphene sheet in a simulation. I am trying to recreate a paper that says graphene has a relaxation time of 1~3 ps. But the built in model doesn't take input the relaxation time, rather it takes model scattering rate in (eV). How to convert the relaxation time (ps) to scattering rate in (eV)??

Ansys EmployeeThere are different expressions. IN this article we use scattering rate  https://optics.ansys.com/hc/en-us/articles/360042244874-Graphene-surface-conductivity-material-model
Some derives the expression from Drudel mode, which has this relaxation time. I deducted their relationship is τao=1/(2Γ). However please check cafrefully as different authors may have different definition, and there might be a constant that is easily missing. Try the conversion and see how does it work
