boolean operation not working

  I have two solid cylinders and I have to subtract small one from the larger dia one. I tried boolean operation but unfortunately, it is not working for subtraction. for unite, intersection and imprint it is working. Why is it so?

  are you using dm or spaceclaim?

  if dm -
  
  go to tools - analysis tools - fault detection and check if geometry has any errors.
  
  if spaceclaim -
  
  right click on the geometry in model tree and use check geometry.
  
  geometry should be error free for boolean to work.
