We have an exciting announcement about badges coming in May 2025. Until then, we will temporarily stop issuing new badges for course completions and certifications. However, all completions will be recorded and fulfilled after May 2025.

*BEAM_SOURCE

I did use the ability to virtually store beams in a source element before. But currently, I just can´t get it to work properly.
Beam elements get pulled out of an source element. However, those new elements do not have any cross section.
I dont think it´s a visualization problem. The new elements are considered in contact. But not with a cross section. Does anybody else wittness this behaviour?

      Hello Oliver,

You should be able to visualize the cross section of *ELEMENT_BEAM_SOURCE if you read the d3plot and the input.k file in LS-PrePost. The beam elements that are pulled out should be in the same part as the source element and inherit the same *SECTION_BEAM.

Here is an example if I read only the d3plot in LS-PrePost:

And if I read the d3plot and the input.k file in LS-PrePost:

Let me know if this works for you or not.

      Reno.
