SubscriberI did use the ability to virtually store beams in a source element before. But currently, I just can´t get it to work properly.
Beam elements get pulled out of an source element. However, those new elements do not have any cross section.
I dont think it´s a visualization problem. The new elements are considered in contact. But not with a cross section. Does anybody else wittness this behaviour? -

Ansys EmployeeHello Oliver,
You should be able to visualize the cross section of *ELEMENT_BEAM_SOURCE if you read the d3plot and the input.k file in LS-PrePost. The beam elements that are pulled out should be in the same part as the source element and inherit the same *SECTION_BEAM.
Here is an example if I read only the d3plot in LS-PrePost:

And if I read the d3plot and the input.k file in LS-PrePost:

Let me know if this works for you or not.

Reno.
