SubscriberHello,
My project is to cool the battery pack (6S1P) of HEV by building an enclosure around them and pumping a coolant. I modeled the battery cells and built an enclosure. However, I have faced a problem with baffles when I inserted them inside an enclosure in order to guide the flow and achieve a temperature uniformity among the cells occurred problem in the calculations.
FYI, I ran the battery pack without baffles everything is right and I obtained excellent results. Can anyone help with this issue, please?

AdministratorCould you please describe the problem you are facing with your baffles?
Also, please use the Insert Image option to embed the screenshot. Ansys employees are not able to download attachments.
Thanks.

SubscriberMr. Kremella,
When I added the baffles inside an enclosure, the time calculations finished directly, where the airflow rate did not flow inside an enclosure just entered, and the calculations are completed because the temperature limited to 5000K, as shown in the attached pic. Also, the voltage curve is decreased and suddenly increased, even though I ran it with discharging statement (the voltage should be decreased further down because this is discharging statement). I don't know exactly what happened, for instance, short circuit or something else. FYI, I ran the same model without baffles; I obtained good results.

Subscriberwhile modeling only the cells inside the enclosure without the baffles, you obtained good solutions?n
