ASEC beam section parameters

I am new to Ansys APDL, and I came across the asec beam section in the modelling for a ribbed box section as shown in below (Please advise me if there are any other better sections in Ansys that I should use)

During the modelling of the ASEC section, I need to input the y&z coordinate of the centroid and also the moment of inertia about the y&z-axis. I am wondering where the coordinate system for the ASEC section actually locates since for the beam rect and beam L section their CS is located at centroid and left bottom corner respectively.

A lot of thanks for the time and help!

      Hi,

It is not needed to define the Cgy and Cgz when you define the moment of inertia about y and z axis at centroid. You can just additionally define the Tky and Tkz from the centroid.
