SubscriberHi,everyone,
I have finished a simulation in fluent and want to extract some field variables to analyze. But I have no idea that which one is suitable function. I have find the definition of Area-averaged and Mass-averaged but I am still not sure. I want to know static/wall temperature ,mass flow rate, absolute pressure and velocity on a transverse section, which one is more accurate?
Your kindly help would be highly apprecited!!

Ansys EmployeeHello,
You can refer this link: /knowledge/forums/topic/mass-flow-weighted-averaging-vs-area-weighted-averaging/
As far as mass flow rate is concerned, Fluent has the option for this. You need not use area or mass weighted average for mass flow rate. It is available by default in Fluxes.
