SubscriberHi,
I'm attempting to simulate wear using the Archard's wear model built into ANSYS. I have activated the wear model through inserting an APDL command into the contact between my two components as shown:
K=0.000117
H=480 !hardness, MPa
m=1 !exponent on contact pressure
n=0 !exponent on relative pressure velocity
!
TB,WEAR,cid,,,ARCD
TBFIELD,TIME,0
TBDATA,1,0,H,n,m
TBFIELD,TIME,2
TBDATA,1,0,H,n,m
TBFIELD,TIME,2.01
TBDATA,1,K,H,n,m
TBFIELD,TIME,20
My problem is that if I run the model with and without this command, the deformation plotted stays the same. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be?
Thanks.

SubscriberHi jakehaley9 ,
I am having a similar problem and cannot seem to get the wear volume or results.
If you have solved this problem, could you help me out too? I'd really really appreciate it
?
Thanks a bunch !!
