SubscriberHi
Does anybody have the experience of applying pin connection between two solid elements. By pin connection I mean the bending momoent be zero and rotation can happen independently for those elements. The same thing as MPC type link connection existing in the Abaqus.
Thanks,
Mostafa

Ansys EmployeeI do not think a pin would have zero bending moment. It would have zero rotational displacement around the two axes not along the pin axial direction, but in resisting this motion, a moment reaction would be generated. Only rotational around the pin axial direction would be allowed. You should be able to accomplish this with a revolute or cylindrical joint depending on whether the pin is a press-fit.Â
