hello
I am working on my final paper for university and I am investigating resonance in a beam.
On one end, I would like to drive the beam vertically at a frequency that I want to increase to 50hz and then analyse how the beam behaves and when it goes into resonance.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks in advance

Hi
We have many courses on dynamics. For instance see this one which is the one you could use:
See this course:
/courses/index.php/courses/harmonic-analysis-of-structures/There are also many other course that might be helpfull (e.g., modal analysis, etc.)
All the best
Erik

Hi Robee,
You can perform harmonic analysis, in which you can apply the load at the required frequency and check the response for the resonance condition.

I want an vibration excitation at the end of the beam. the same as in this short video. does someone know how to generate this?

thank you in advance!

Hi Robbe, I think in this video they are performing frequency sweep analysis. Yes, you can do this in harmonic analysis. Please check out the course that Erik has suggested to you.
