SubscriberHi there, I am trying to simulate the received power of an antenna when it is exposed to an external plane wave excitation. How I can measure open circuit voltage of the antenna or received power at its port?

Ansys EmployeeIf you are interested in the received power, an antenna can be simulated with both: port and plane wave. And then, with the PW excitation activated, use the field calculator to analyze the voltage or power in the port area, depending on the port type and feeding configuration

SubscriberThank you for your promot message, Aymen!
I am trying not to use a port and just calculate the open voltage using calculator across the parts that are supposed to be my port later. Would it be a correct solution IF I want to get the V_oc of an antenna being illuminated by other antennas? I need to get the Thevenin equivalent of the antenna in an environment illuminated by other set of antennas.Â
