Ensure that you have uninstalled/decommissioned the Ansys license manager on your old computer and deleted any copies of the old license file from your computers. See this KB for the uninstall process, Uninstalling the Ansys license manager – Ansys Optics.

Thanks, it seems like my license does not support the latest 2024 version, I wonder where can i download the Lumerical 2021 v1.3?

If your TECS expired sometime ago, you can only use the version for which the license was valid. e.g. if your TECS expired on Dec 2023, then you can only run the 2023 releases. You will have to purchase/renew your TECS to be able to use the 2024 release and then renew/purchase TECS once it expires on 2025 to be able to use the 2025 release, and so on… Â
Without an update/new TECS you will encounter the licensing error: -21 or error: -25 - License server system does not support the version of this feature

Yes, my license do not support the 2024 release so i wonder if i can download an earlier release to finish my transfer.

Thanks, however the portal says"Your account shows you are not eligible to log into our Ansys Customer Support Space. Please contact your Account Manager who will be able to assist you in this matter". where can find the account manager? or can you share a 2023 or earlier release with me?

Sorry we cannot share the installation files as these are export controlled. When you registered on Ansys Customer Portal did you indicate your role as 'student'? If so, try to change your role/job to something else like "Teaching Assistant" or something else instead of student. Otherwise, contact your Ansys Account Manager (Ansys sales person where you bought the license from) to change/update your user/account profile.Â

Could you share the installation files with Zhuomin Zhang (zhuomin.zhang@me.gatech.edu), who is my manager and I believe registered as research institute staff? does that work?

Sorry the installation package are too large to email. Zhuomin Zhang, should be able to log into Ansys Customer Portal - Downloads Page to download the installation files. Otherwise, please ask Zhuomin Zhang, to contact your Ansys Acocunt Manager for access to the Customer Portal Downloads Page.Â

Hi Lito, Thanks for the info. However, Zhuomin Zhang does not have the access to Ansys Customer Portal - Downloads Page with the same popup error. I wonder if you can share the package using some cloud drive to (zhuomin.zhang@me.gatech.edu). i appreciate your help.

Sorry but we cannot share any files through the forum or cloud service.Â
Based on your account/entitlement records, you do not have an active TECS/subscription. Please check with your IT department to download the installation package you require. They might have access to the Ansys customer downloads page using the account/entitlement for a different Ansys product license with active TECS/subscriptions.Â
