i try to simulate simple thing. the box get dispaclement to y direction 5mm.

but i get an invald y component error so i cannot simulate this one. i use aluminum alloy material for geometry

i think it is related with solve process setting.

See the modal courses we have. One thing is that we can not have non-zero displacement boundary condition.

See also the help manual (seaech for modal analysis) where we specify this:

'All structural supports can be applied except a non-zero Displacement, a Remote Displacement, and the Velocity support.'
