SubscriberHello, I'm new to ANSYS and I was working on my first project. I was following a YouTube video, and he used inflation on parts of the geometry. However, then I do it, the meshing doesn't work. I can get the meshing to work without the inflation, but for the life of my, I can not get a result using them. Here are the error codes i keep getting:
- The inflation layer generation did not complete. This may be due to poor quality patches in the surface mesh, sharp geometric features, or narrow passages.
- Mesher failed to generate mesh with acceptable quality. Try using a different element size or virtual topology.
- Some of the elements on the problematic bodies can't meet the specified target metrics. Please check the elements and try changing the mesh size settings to achieve the needed mesh quality.
- Pre-inflation layer generation has stopped because of side face limitation, proximity collisions and quality.
- The current meshing options and settings cannot generate a mesh.
if any body knows how to fix these problems it would be so much help. All of the settings for sizing remain the same when i add the inflation and I've adjusted a bunch of different settings as well. thank you!

Forum ModeratorStart with looking carefully at your geometry. How would the mesh work given your settings? Ie how do you think it will look, and is there space for it to fit? The above tells me you have a valid geometry but possibly some complex features or poorly chosen settings. Some pictures may help.Â
