Hi,

I am working in with large assembly made of 2 component arrange in linear pattern, I am trying to select the face using named selection worksheet with criteria as location x value is 5.2425 meter but it also selects other faces which as location x value as 5.2475 meter. these 2 faces are 5mm apart from each other still ansys select the other faces like this. 

how to avoid other faces and only select the face which is exactly 5.2425 meter away.

Hi Kavi,

Let Named selection select the faces at x value 5.2425m. After this add another filter to select the faces based on y or z location. You may find the following link to be helpful: Beyond Clicking: Named Selections Move to the Worksheet - PADT (padtinc.com)
