SubscriberHi I need help about generating mesh in ansys maxwell project. When I create project , ANSYS maxwell create default meshing. Should I trust this default meshing generation or How should I select mesh coefficients. My model pictures as seen. Should mesh resolution be high for small geometries? Thanks for replies.

Ansys EmployeeFor the static solvers, Maxwell uses automatic adaptive meshing. The user can set the number of passes and energy error in the Analysts -> Setup, where the defaults are 10 and 1% respectively. Â
For the transient solvers, Maxwell users can either assign mesh operations (by selecting an Object or Face, and assigning appropriate Mesh Operations, by length, for example), or can also link to a previously defined mesh (such as from an adaptively refined mesh from a static solver). Â
In either case, before analyzing, the user can create and plot a mesh for inspection before the solution is run (Analyze -> Apply Mesh Operations) (select objects, Field Overlays -> Plot Mesh).  Desired mesh density may depend on what is of interest and a trade-off with solution time. Â
