Ansys license manager Error

      Hello

      One of our customers is having a problem launching the SpaceClaim floating license (see attached photo).

      Could you help me find out what's causing the problem?
      I can send you the server-side diagnosis.

      Everything seems to be set up correctly, but it's not working...

      In the Licensing Settings 2023R2, click Features in Use. Does this display 'disco_level1' increment? If it displays any error message, please share it in the comment.

      Hello, 
      The increment disco level 1 does not appear in features in use...
      I get this error message: ansyslmd: Cannot connect to licencse server system ( -15,10032) ( see photo).

      This is likely because the vendor daemon port is getting blocked. 

       

      On the server - 

      Please navigate to the :\ANSYS Inc\Shared Files\Licensing\license_files

      Copy the ansyslmd.lic file in the location to the desktop location and add ‘PORT=1056’ in the VENDOR ansyslmd line and save it in. Then replace the old ansyslmd.lic file with the new one in the above mentioned location.

      Once this is done, please restart the license manager –

       

      • Go to start > ANSYS License Management Center
      • In the ‘View Status/Start/Stop License Manager’, STOP the service and START it again.
      • Ensure 1056 TCP is opened in the server side and the client machine.

      Now retry the application.

      Hello, 

      The customer had problems opening port 1056, but this is now done.
      However, it still doesn't work (I'm waiting for confirmation from him).
      Could you please confirm that the license file is correct (following your previous instructions).
      If you wish, I can attach the complete file.

      Does the customer still get an error -15 code when they try to see the features in use?

      The customer is now receiving a -12,16 error...( see attached photo)

      We do not need 1056 port mentioned in the licensing settings. You can remove that entry. 1055 and server name alone is enough. 1056 is just a static port assignment for vendor process.
