SubscriberIs it possible to assign thermal resistance for air/ambient for ICs in Icepak? If so, could someone please guide me on how to do this? Additionally, is it necessary to assign thermal resistance for air/ambient in a natural convection analysis?

Ansys EmployeeIn natural convection, there is no need to assign thermal resistance for case to ambient. If you do want to do that, please add a plate object on the case of IC. For conduction only simulation, please use Wall object on the case of IC. Thanks.
