ansys fluent error when opening it “unexpected license problem”

      Recently I have shut down Fluent from task manager as it froze because I was upgrading the progress from workbench while still having open fluent (by mistake) and after this I cant open any project, the fluent interface opens and i get the mesagge "Unexpected license problem, Hit return to exit"

      I attach bellow the text file created after I run diagnostics from the Ansys Licensing Setting program, maybe it helps, I use the 2024 r1 version for students of Ansys

      Hi,

      Try to launch fluent via workbench, if any error share the screenshot. Goto .ansys folder (%temp% ), open the *fluent241.out file and share the screenshot with latest timestamp.

      Rename the Ansys folder %appdata% and try to relaunch.

      Try to run productconfig.exe as an admin (C:\program files\ansys inc\ansys student\v241) and unconfigure and then configure it again.

      Also can you try v242 too?

      Hi

      I’m getting an “unexpected licensing problem” when opening Ansys Fluent. Have you tried tunnel rush restarting Fluent via Workbench or checking the log files for more details?
