Ansys Electronics Desktop Student 2025 R2 License Issue – System Clock Error

      Hello,

I am experiencing licensing issues while trying to use Ansys Electronics Desktop Student 2025 R2. When I try to launch the program, I receive the following two errors:

      1. No such feature exists.

        • Feature: hfss_gui

        • Error Code: -5,357

      2. System clock has been set back.

        • Feature: electronicsckt_gui

        • Error Code: -88,309

I have successfully installed the program on my Windows system to the D:\ANSYS Inc\ANSYS Student folder. However, the Ansys license manager folder (D:\ANSYS Inc\ANSYS Student\Shared Files\Licensing) does not contain a .lic license file.

The steps I have taken to try and resolve the issue are:

      • I attempted to restart the license manager via the command line, but this failed due to the missing license file.

      • When I tried to access the Ansys licensing portal, I received the error message "You must be an ASC (Ansys Support Coordinator) to access the account." As a result, I am unable to download the student license file or manage my account.

The problem seems to stem from the missing license file and my inability to access the portal to obtain it. I would appreciate your guidance on how to proceed. I need help getting the correct license file and resolving the portal access issue.

      Hi,

Ansys Student version (free version) does not need a license file, it has a inbuilt license file. Check if your system clock is set correctly on your machine.

I have verified that the system clock is properly synchronized and set to the correct time zone. Despite that, I am still encountering the FlexNet Licensing error (-88,309), which indicates that the system clock has been set back. I also receive error -5,357, saying "No such feature exists."

      Hi,

I'll send you a datefix utility internally, you need to run it within 24 hours.
Let me know if you received it or not by tomorrow.
