SubscriberHello,
I am performing Modal Analysis on ANSYS Discovery AIM Software. However, the software is running very very slow. I am unable to upload some heavy files (for example - Engine Block, Cylinder Head).
Request to provide a solution for the same.
Regards,
RD

Did you want to submit the files for us to investigate? There's not much I can suggest without some further information.

I am trying to open a .scdoc file whose size is 47MB in DISCOVERY AIM. The software is getting crashed all the time. However, I am able to open the file in LIVE and SPACECLAIM. I also did Modal Analysis in LIVE.Â
Please can you clarify and suggest any solution.

Are you able to submit the file for investigation? It's difficult to give any suggestions without having a clear understanding of the problem.
If the file is proprietary we can arrange another method to transfer it.

SubscriberBrian Bueno Hi, I cannot send the file to you. It's confidential data. Please send your person to TATA MOTORS, PUNE to solve the problem.Â

IT was observed that AIM was taking considerable time in opening a project, importing and editing a geometry part and also while saving. To overcome this issue, we first rebooted the machine, then cleared %temp% folder and also renamed v195 folder from %appdata%. These changes seemed to work and we could no longer see delays in the processes listed above.
