SubscriberGreatings Â
I am a user of Ansys Student 2019 R3.
Â
I followed the installation of Dynamic Contact Angle version 2 for Ansys 2019.
see link  https://catalog.ansys.com/product/5b3bc6857a2f9a5c90d32e20/dynamic-contact-angle
Â
Then i followed the tutorial.
But, after specifying the model parameters for the analysis in the ACT wizard on Fluent, this message appeared:Â
"Error: The UDF library you are trying to load (libudf) is not compiled for parallel use on the current platform (win64).nnLe fichier sp?cifi? est introuvable.
nnC:UsersEdwardDocuments
Non_ConfTest_DCA_ACTTestTuto _filesdp0FLUFluentlibudf win643d_hostlibudf.dll

/define/user-defined/user-defi
ned-memory 14/define/user-defined/functio ."n-hooks/adjust "dynamic_contect::libudf"``dyn amic_contect::libudf'' unknown -- enter choice again
Â
And i can't go on with the tutorial.
Â
Can you please advise me some ways to fix this problem?
Thanks in advance

SubscriberThank you for your reply.
Is it, please, possible to download the prior releases (Ansys Student 2019, 2018, 2018R1, or 2018R2)?

SubscriberHi,
While there are a lot of researches on dynamics of wetting and dynamics contact angle, it seems, Ansys fluent update contact angle during simulation. For example if you set static contact angle for a liquid slug in a capillary tube, and then force the slug to move, the contact angle changes.
In this regard, I saw a lot of discussion on how to write a udf to apply dynamic contact angle, when the "wall adhesion" option is activated while I think fluent solver updates the contact angle during simulation and there is no need to do so by a udf. Â
Actually I'm a kind of confused on this issue and wonder if you can help me?!

AdministratorHello,
What Fluent solver is adjusting is the local curvature one cell away from the wall based on the prescribed contact angle when wall adhesion is activated. The combination of contact angle with the estimated surface normal changes the local curvature. In this case, the contact angle specified should be the equilibrium contact angle.
To read more about this, please refer to the Fluent Theory guide (section 18.3.9.2 - Wall Adhesion). Here is the link:Â https://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v201/en/flu_th/flu_th_vof_surf_tens.html
If you are looking for a truly dynamic contact angle, you should be relying on a UDF.
If you are looking for instructions on how to open this link, please refer here:Â /forum/forums/topic/how-to-access-the-ansys-online-help/
I hope this clarifies your question.
Thank you.

SubscriberHi Karthik,
Â
Thank you so much
As you said the curvature of the interface in the cell next to the wall is adjusted based on the prescribed contact angle and should not change coz the contact angle is constant. But in my case it really changes in this cell during the motion. Maybe I misunderstand sth ?
