I am trying to use ansys ACP to model a delamination fracture. However, it is only possible to make the fracture laminae from a 2d plane. How do you make a frature in the mesh between the laminae when the geometry from which it is based on is 2d. I need to know how to model the complete delamination fracture with various fiber orientations. I have been unsuccessful in making a 3d simulation work on my own. Thank you for your assistance.

I need to make the crack along the same plane as the surface. If the surface is generated on the XY plane, How to I make the crack appear on the XY plane in the mesh component?
