I've installed ANSYS 2020 R1 and when i open workbench it shows fatal error and closes. I've tried reinstalling but it's still showing the same error(I've inserted the error image below). Please someone help. It's urgent.

I've only seen this error 2-3 times.

Open CMD Prompt, then enter the following command

set

and post the output of it here.

I am facing the same issue please help asap, i have deadlines of projects submissions in coming next week. Here is screenshot of command window. Let me must know how to fix this.

What is the name of the installation package that you used ?

Try the followings:

1. Open CMD Prompt and enter the command

move "%appdata%ansys" "%appdata%ansys.old"

2. Change the value order of your PATH Environment Variable to make sure that

C:WINDOWSsystem32;C:WINDOWS;C:WINDOWSSystem32Wbem;…

entries are in front of everything else.

For example:  PATH=C:WINDOWSsystem32;C:WINDOWS;C:WINDOWSSystem32Wbem;…all other entries...

3. Install all pending Windows update

If you still encounter an issue, post screenshot of the error.

Thanks for fast reply, Its ANSYS 2020R1. i tried the above method but still same error. I used this last month without any trouble, but suddenly opened a file after a week this happened. I reinstalled it also but still same error pop up while opening workbench, if you turn this off workbench will also be turned off. Please have look at this problem, i have to submit my work next week. It'd be appreciated if you spare some moment to help out.

If it worked last month, you will need to see what software you installed this past month and what Windows updates were pushed and installed. You may have to uninstall or revert back.

As for the installation package, can you tell me the exact name of the file ? Where did you get this package from ?

I have a problem with Ansys 2020R2 and Centos 8.2.2004. I could install Ansys and received no problems, but i obtain an error when i start the workbench. I have installed all the necessary libraries. What is missing? The errornis in the attached log file.n
