SubscriberHello, I'm getting an error and a warning during solution, while all other things are good.
Error: "An unknown error occurred during solution. Check the Solver Output on the Solution Information object for possible causes."
And,
Warning: "Not all Named Selections were successfully written because one or more names are not valid for the solver."
Association: Project>Model>Static Structural>Solution
I'm using Ansys 18.1 and doing an analysis on a layered composite helical spring model generated in Ansys ACP-Pre.
I have also attached a text file containing the Solution Information.
Â
PLEASE HELP!

Ansys EmployeeAshish, Can you copy paste the output using preformatted option in the toolbar above where you type? Not everyone is allowed to download the file? Even the last part after the statistics are written out will do.

SubscriberHello Sir,
Actually, i saw one post on the forum where the similar error was posted and it mentioned to close some of the other running programs. After closing one of the programs and running the solution again I got rid of the above-mentioned error, but now it shows one more Unknown error.
Also, the Warning:Â "Not all Named Selections were successfully written because one or more names are not valid for the solver"Â is still there.
Â
I am pasting the solution information for the second error here.

Ansys EmployeeAshish, it looks like you have a full disk. Make some space and also based on some of the warnings, you might want to turn off distributed solve and run. See this post.
The comment about named selection seems like a warning to me and doesn't seem to be the problem Right click on that message and identify the object that is creating the problem. See what is wrong in the naming of it and correct it.

Sandeep

SubscriberHello sir
I checked my disk space while solution was running and it was getting full , as you said.
And, after increasing my disk space, the solution ran fine.
Thank you for the help. -
