Subscriberwhere can i find airfoil flow using SpaceCaim geometry

Forum ModeratorOnce you've created the shape you add a mesh and then move to the CFD solver (I recommend Fluent).

SubscriberHello Rob
First stage I would like to know how to make the attached geometry in spaceclaim geometry. I have data for profile of airfoil. I need to know
1-how to upload the airfoil into spaceclaim
2- how to subtract the rectangular shape and airfoil
3-how to make nice meshing around the airfoil
Thank you

SubscriberHello Karthik
I watched the clips in youtube as you mentioned. I can upload the airfoil and i have the geometry as you can see in attached figures, but when i go to make mesh i cannot see the airfoil. i made two surfaces, one for flow field and one for airfoil, and then i delete the airfoil surface.

SubscriberGreetings
I did 2d airfoil successfully. i wonder if you can help me to make flow over a 3d sphere. i would like to learn how to make a sphere in middle of flow field by using spaceclaim and then make mesh.
Thank you

AdministratorHello There is a sphere option in SpaceClaim (Design Tab -> Body). The rest of the workflow is very similar to what you did with the airfoil.
Please check out the AIC website. You can take courses related to SpaceClaim as well as Fluent and learn.

SubscriberGreetings
I can make sphere and a cube around the sphere. How can i subtract and after subtraction , how i could see inside the cube and see the sphere when i am meshing? i need to mesh on top of sphere
Thank you

AdministratorHello You should be able to use the 'Combine/Cut' tool in Ansys SpaceClaim for the subtract operation. Also, my apologies for the delayed response on this one. Please let me know if you are looking for any additional help on this one.
