Determine the force necessary (energy required to operate the linear motor) to drive the linear tube within the cylinder under pressurized circumstances for a one stroke. (During the transition from the top position to the bottom position) and also energy required to operate the ball valve.

Start by doing the tutorials (Fluent>Help>User's Guide & look around) and AIS courses (Learning) to see what's available and where the buttons are. From there sketch out what you really need to model: ie do you really need to model the whole unit, including free surface or can you simplify the domain?Â
