SubscriberIs there the possibility in ANSYS Mechanical to perform an Explicit Dynamic analysis in order to apply an air blast load (free-field) to a structure such as the picture attached? I don't want to do a CEL (coupled eulerian-lagrangian approach) analysis, but something similar to the CONWEP approach possible in ABAQUS CAE (the tool apply a time-varying pressure to the structure). in order to take into account an air blast load).

Ansys EmployeeThe Air-Blast Load boundary condition is available in Autodyn Compoenent GUI or Autodyn Standalone system. It is not available in Explicit Dynamics system.

SubscriberHi Chris, thank you for your reply!
Ok! But you mean a CEL analysis in Autodyn? Or I can create only the lagrangian part (structure) and then select the detonation point and the features of the charge?

Ansys EmployeeNo, it is not Euler/Lagrange coupling. It is a pressure boundary condition, where pressure is calculated by charge weight (input) and its distance to the element center (automatically calculated by the solver).

SubscriberHi All,
Can anyone help me to get pressure-time graph or pressure-distance graph in autodyn, I've performed simulation in which fragments moves away. i want to know the distance travelled by the fragments and internal energy of the fragments. And also tell me what is the characteristic length in below image?

Ansys EmployeeHi
As this is unrelated to the original post, and not the correct forum to post this, I would suggest posting your question as a new question under the explicit dynamics forum here: /forum/forums/forum/discuss-simulation/ls-dyna/
All the best
Erik
