SubscriberI could not activate Discovery products through our company's network. But I was able to activate through another network (iPhone tethering).
So, I think that it is necessary to open some port for activate.
Which port should I open? -

Ansys EmployeeHello,
Please add the rule outlined below to the Inbound rules in the Windows Firewall. You can access the inbound rules from the Advanced settings in the firewall control panel.

SubscriberIn our company, firewall is controlled by network administrator.
It is not realistic to open all TCPÂ ports.
Please tell me the specific connection destination and the port that should be opened.-

For the subscription based licensing, only port 443 needs to be open. The communication is via HTTPS. -

hi
I signed up for http://account.ansys.com/ , downloaded "aimscdiscovery_190_winx64.zip" and requested 15-days trial
Next i installed Discovery Live 19.0 from "aimscdiscovery_190_winx64.zip" (when installing I did not see anything similar to the configuration of the license)
When I run any of the Discovery Live 19.0 sortcut I get a message that "There are no current ANSYS subscriptions that enable capability ANSYS Discovery Live", although in my account I see that I have a trial
What is wrong? How to activate Discovery?

It seems that the IP Address of the server "ansys-fno.flexnetoperations.com" is "64.14.29.39"Â .
Is this static IP address?

The FNO site uses a load balancer, so that IP address might change depending on when/from where it is being accessed.Â

We have excepted the port 443 for "64.14.29.39", and I am now able to activate. Thank you.
But, if FNO site IP address changes, connection will be blocked. Could you tell me all the possible IP addresses?

The licensing team has told me it should be enough to clear the connection to https://ansys-fno.flexnetoperations.com/
Have you tried clearing this URL, or only the IP address 64.14.29.39?

We tried only the IP address "64.14.29.39".
Since our firewall is not application firewall, we do not have the function to specify URL.
With other software, in most cases the host information will be disclosed. Why you cannot disclose the host information? Perhaps the host, including the load balancer, I think that about 5 at most. Is it impossible to tell all IP addresses?
If Discovery can activate via a proxy server, IP address information is not required.
