SubscriberI need to access the current element nodal coordinates in the user defined material subroutine to be able to calculate the Jacobian for the regularization scheme I am implementing.Â
Any help on how to access this data would be very much appreciated.Â
Thanks.

SubscriberBased on what I am finding in the call history on this subject, it does not appear that element nodal coordinates can be read directly from within USERMAT. However, scalar measures derived outside USERMAT, for example, through APDL scripts or preprocessing, can be precomputed and stored. These values can then be passed in during an initial step through TB,STATE or by initializing the state variables and subsequently used by USERMAT. This approach keeps the regularization logic local to each integration point.ÂRegards, John -
