About Radiation Model P1 !

      Hello everyone!

I am now simulating natural heat transfer with radiation effect. The heat is transferred from the heating surface to the surrounding fluid by convection and radiation. For the radiation parameters we know an emissivity of the heating surface and an absorption coefficient of the fluid. I am newbie in this field so please help me to choose an appropriate Radiation model for this case. Is the radiation model P1 appropriate? What are the steps to implement this Model in Fluent? Do we need UDF file?

      Thank you so much!

Is it a non-absorbing medium your fluid (like air). If yes I will use S2S.nIn general I prefer using MC or DO for the wide range of optical thickness. n

In my case. The heat is transferred from the heating surface and the fluid absorbs the heat energy.n

Yes. The fluid is vapor water. Is there any tutorial for this kind of Radiation model in Fluent? n
