SubscriberThe net residual stresses developed in the gear due to prior working( Gear grinding, normalizing, case-carburizing) i.e: due to thermal, microstructural changes, phase change(if any) is to be considered in the design of the shrink fit. In other words, a correlation between the residual stresses at different depths and the joint output parameters like the holding torque is required to be established.
Using APDL commands in workbench, can we give these residual stresses as a pre-stress condition? If yes, how to write the commands?

SubscriberThank you for the commentI did go through the links that you posted. I got the basics I needed and now can you help me with any material or resource that could help me write the code? I tried writing by seeing the examples in the command reference. Since I am new to APDL scriptingcould you suggest any resource as such?
