使用对称性边界条件(symmetric, anti symmetric) 是在结构有轴对称的前提下根据光源偏振选择,用来减少仿真内存的,这种选择可使仿真仅对超透镜的1/4的区域进行,大大减小仿真内存因而提高仿真效率。
显然,透镜为有限大小,不是周期的,因此不能使用周期性边界条件。只有在仿真单个单元时才可以使用周期性边界条件。
