I have just started learning Ansys and I'm going through the basic example of 3D Magnetostatic Simulation of EMB Using Ansys Maxwell, model needed 20 minutes to solve eddy solver, with default meshing and solver setup exactly as in the course, am I missing some setting to speed up the solution?Â

Hello, if you are not simulating a frequency sweep, a possible reason of increased simulation time could be the number of passes until convergence. Please refer to:
Maxwell Help > Specifying Solution Settings and
Maxwell Help > Specifying Solution Settings > Setting Analysis Parameters for Non-Transient Solutions > Defining Settings on the Convergence Tab for Non-Transient Solutions
