Hello all,
Could anyone tell me how to extrude a 2D planar grid to a 3D grid in ICEM CFD ? I generated a 2D planar multiblock grid for an airfoil and I tried with extrude blocks- > 2d to 3D -> translate for a certain spanwise length. I see domain and blocks are exturded but the fluid zone changes into a new zone replacing old one and I don't see any meshes and boundaries in 3D, even after recomputing the mesh. It would be very helpful if someone could help with any suggesstions or any other options that I am missing. Thanks !

If you have 2D planar multiblock grid, then convert it to unstructed mesh. Then you can use extrude mesh option in ICEMCFD.Â
Please go through help manual for more detailsÂ
