SubscriberHello,
I'm having a problem with simulation of frontal impact of the frame.Â
First, I was having a problem when i imported 3D model of frame in ansys. I generated mesh, fixed some faces, and put force on frame, and didn't get any results.
After that, I was trying different ways of making this done, so I first exported 3D model of Solidworks in IGS format and imported it in ansys, but I couldn't mesh it. It only meshes 4 pipes.
Then, i made in solidworks a wireframe and exported it in IGS format and imported it in ansys, and couldn't make cross section of the lines.
Can someone help me please and say what could be the reasons?
ThanksÂ

SubscriberWhen you made an IGES file of a SW wireframe, which program did you import it into: SpaceClaim or DesignModeler?
They have different ways to define a cross-section.

SubscriberPeter, thank you for answering.
I was using design modeler, and today i managed to import wireframe in geometry i edit it in designmodeler, and when I was trying to join all lines ( option boolean), it made me 2 lines instead of 1, and it didn't recognize all lines.
I will send 2 picture.
On second one is wireframe in SW
On the first is what I got when I did boolean and cross section
