It's important to choose the scoping method that best represents the physical contact conditions of the problem you are analyzing. If, for example, only two surfaces are interacting in an analysis, I believe the results for surface-to-surface (selecting the two interacting surfaces) and body-to-body scoping should be comparable.Â
