When you have the full length solid, create two planes where you want the supports and use Split Body to make 3 pieces. Extract each piece into a Beam.  Then on the Workbench tab, use the Share button to make sure that the pieces share a nodes at each cut plane. Then in Mechanical, you will have a Vertex to support.
