SubscriberI was completing an MPM model in Ansys but had decided to go back to the geometry and meshing phases to make some changes to the model's geometry. I am currently trying to re-run the model as a basic steady simulation before I will re-run it as a transient MPM simulation. The issue I am running into is that I cannot seem to be able to deselect a DPM injection within initialisation:

Ansys EmployeeRemove Injection from MPM before disabling it and try again. nMarch 2, 2021 at 11:43 amRob
Forum ModeratorIf the DPM model isn't set to interact then don't worry about it. As Arraynotes, it's set as on if there is an injection, even though it's not doing anything. nMarch 2, 2021 at 10:01 pmmcgrat25
Subscriberand ,nThanks for getting back to me. I've deleted both the MPM & DPM injections and deactivated both of the models, but still get the below error message during simulation:n
I do have multiple particle-tracks set from when MPM was active - would I have to delete these? I'd rather not, as I want to go back to MPM afterwards and it's quite time-consuming to recreate all of these.n

Ansys EmployeePlease remove anything related to particle and particle tracks: objects, contours, animation. And try again. If the issue persists please let me know your university email address.nViewing 4 reply threads- The topic ‘Why can’t DPM be deactivated during simulation set-up?’ is closed to new replies.
